B2C Commerce March release: Removing friction for teams behind the storefront

Every release cycle, our innovations focus on helping you solve real challenges that merchandisers and developers face day to day, from keeping product catalogs pristine to accelerating time to market. New features in our March release make it easier to build and test faster, and stay resilient when it matters most.

Along with new innovations for B2C Commerce, Salesforce is also excited to announce our definitive agreement to acquire Cimulate, an emerging leader in AI-powered product discovery and agentic commerce. The acquisition will strengthen Salesforce’s investment in Agentforce Commerce by accelerating improvements to search and discovery, helping retailers deliver more personalized, contextual, and conversational shopping experiences.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s new for B2C Commerce in March.

For the merchandiser: Precision and peak-season readiness

Merchandising is often a race against time to ensure product data is perfect before it hits the glass. This release gives you more control over your catalog and ensures your site stays always-on during high-stakes moments.

  • Complete product data: Use new Advanced Search filters to instantly find products missing images, prices, or stock levels. This ensures your storefront always looks polished and gives customers the crucial information they need to convert.

  • Content reusability: With Page Designer Data Binding, you can now map existing content assets (like blogs or long-form text) directly into Page Designer components. Write it once, manage it centrally, and reuse it across multiple pages with minimal effort.
  • Replicate individual price books: Update pricing for specific sites faster and reduce system load time by replicating individual price books. Replicate up to 25 price books at a time, saving you time and ensuring your pricing information is up to date.
  • Continuity for critical moments: High-traffic events like the holiday season or your next big flash sale are make-or-break moments for your brand. A single minute of downtime can cause a major hit to your revenue. With Continuous Order Capture, teams behind the storefront get more peace of mind. This new feature allows you to keep taking orders using last-known inventory levels even if your connection to Omnichannel Inventory is temporarily lost — so you never miss a conversion.

For the developer: Speed to market

Manual environment setup and testing hurdles can be major bottlenecks in a sprint. New features in our March release were built to remove roadblocks so your teams can focus on what matters most: innovating and optimizing the customer experience.

  • Simplify testing: We’re introducing Default Domains, providing a preconfigured, Salesforce-managed hostname for development, staging, and production. It comes with embedded CDN capabilities out-of-the-box, which means you don’t have to wait for manual DNS changes just to start testing.
  • High-fidelity sandboxes: You can now clone On-Demand Sandboxes to create exact replicas of existing environments. This allows for more realistic testing scenarios and faster development cycles without starting from scratch.

  • Expanded API power: New Admin APIs for Stores and Store-Redirects simplify how you manage physical locations and URL mappings at scale. Additionally, the Shopper Payments API now supports Adyen configuration directly, making global payment setups more efficient.
  • Page Designer support for PWA Kit: Reduce 50% of development time with Page Designer instantly integrated into PWA Kit. Our new API allows react components to show up directly within Page Designer, bringing our content management capabilities to customers on PWA Kit.
  • Integrated Order Management and Composable Storefront: We’ve integrated Composable Storefront orders with Salesforce Order Management. By connecting your B2C Commerce instance to your SOM organization, you can surface order details and history with minimal overhead, keeping your backend and frontend perfectly synchronized.

What do these new features mean for your business?

Together, these updates represent a meaningful shift in how your team — whether you’re a merchandiser, a developer, or a business leader — can operate with greater speed, confidence, and control.

For businesses, the bottom line is simple: less time fighting your tools means more time delighting your customers. When merchandisers can instantly surface incomplete product data, they’re not just tidying up a catalog,  they’re directly protecting conversion rates and brand trust. When developers can spin up realistic test environments in minutes instead of days, new experiences reach customers faster and with fewer surprises at launch.

These features were also designed to compound. Reusable content reduces the operational drag of managing large storefronts at scale. Integrated Order Management closes the loop between your storefront and your backend, giving your teams a single source of truth and reducing the costly friction of reconciling data across systems. And with Page Designer now extended to PWA Kit, your investment in composable commerce goes further, cutting development time in half while keeping your content teams empowered and independent.

Simply put: The features in this release were built to remove roadblocks so your teams can move faster.
